The Second Chance for Life
Foundation is a heart transplant/LVAD/mechanical
group. It is a non-profit, volunteer organization founded to
support transplant recipients, candidates, their families,
and donor families, and to promote organ donor awareness.
It's heart failure patients receive their care at the
University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.
The Second Chance
for Life Foundation was formed in 1988 by a group of heart transplant
recipients: Craig Ayers, heart #30; William Holden,
heart #80, Joseph Keating, heart #81; and Cal Stoll,
heart #128. Cal Stoll served as the
Foundationīs volunteer executive
director until his death in August 2000.
The Second Chance for Life Foundation was formed with the intent of
giving something back, and being a part of something that will
continue on after we are gone.
